Jennifer Sues is the Career Law Clerk for Judge Stephen D. Wheelis, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Louisiana. Following her graduation from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1995, she graduated from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1998. She began her career in public service at the Louisiana Third Circuit Court of Appeal as law clerk for Judge Jimmie C. Peters. From 1999-2001, she served as the Pro Se Law Clerk for the United States District Court, Western District of Louisiana under Chief Judge F.A. Little, Jr. She began her work in bankruptcy as the career law clerk for Judge Henley A. Hunter, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Louisiana in Alexandria in 2001 and served in that capacity for fourteen years. Thereafter she served as the career law clerk for Judge John W. Kolwe, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Louisiana from 2015 to 2019. Since April of 2019, she continues to serve as the career law clerk to Judge Stephen D. Wheelis in the Alexandria and Monroe Divisions of the Western District of Louisiana.
