M. BENJAMIN ALEXANDER (“Ben”) serves as General Counsel and Director of Risk Management for WHC Energy Services, a national energy services contractor based out of Broussard, Louisiana, with offices in Houston, Midland, Dallas, and Denver. Ben graduated from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at LSU with a Juris Doctorate and a Bachelor of Civil Law degree in 2004. After law school, he joined a regional defense firm and immediately began working on insurance coverage and indemnity disputes in the offshore, oil and gas, construction and trucking industries, while at the same time litigating catastrophic personal injury cases in both Louisiana and Texas. He spent two years working as a litigation and insurance coverage team member in multi-district litigation matters, and another three years as a personal injury attorney representing injured plaintiffs, before transitioning to his current General Counsel / Risk Manager position. Most of his 17-year career has been spent representing insurers, insureds or third-party claimants on an array of coverage, bad faith, and liability disputes involving both commercial and personal lines policies.
