This presentation will cover the unique planning opportunities and obstacles when faced with a married couple, one of whom is not a U.S. citizen.  We will explore the historical aspects of the marital deduction for federal estate tax purposes and how it has evolved to its current form and how it impacts planning with Non-Citizen spouse. Special emphasis will be placed on the Qualified Domestic Trust and its requirements.
