Dinorah Gonzalez was appointed Standing Chapter 13 Trustee for the Western District of Louisiana, Alexandria Division effective August 1, 2025. Dinorah is a native Texan. In Houston, Dinorah served as the managing staff attorney to a chapter 13 trustee for eighteen years. Prior to that, she was a consumer debtors' attorney, working for some of the most prolific filing consumer bankruptcy firms in Houston and representing hundreds of debtors before half a dozen judges.
Dinorah has also sat on the executive committee of the Moller-Foltz Inn of Court for the last five years, where she headed the community outreach efforts of the Inn. Dinorah has organized several successful food and volunteer drives, resulting in hundreds of pounds and dozens of service hours donated to those suffering food insecurity in the Greater Houston Area.
Dinorah is a mom of two. She splits all of her spare time between her daughter in Baton Rouge at LSU and her son in Houston at U of H, plus, seven cats, three rabbits, and two aquatic turtles.
