Biography – Christopher O. Ryals
Christopher O. Ryals is an investment and senior management professional with more than 27 years of experience in acquisitions and divestitures, private equity, financial advisory, and executive leadership. He has extensive expertise in sourcing, structuring, and managing investments across the energy sector and related industries.
Mr. Ryals is the Principal of RCO Capital, a financial and strategic advisory firm serving clients in the energy and multi-industry sectors. Throughout his career, he has held senior management and advisory roles with private companies, leading initiatives in deal origination, financial and technical oversight, business development, strategic planning and execution, buy-side and sell-side engagements, and corporate restructuring.
His industry experience spans a diverse range of sectors, including energy, steel, mining, software, supply chain services, commodity trading and derivatives, risk management, insurance, diversified family offices, and consumer products.
Mr. Ryals currently serves as Chief Restructuring Officer in multiple Chapter 11 cases in the Eastern District of Louisiana, helping lead the underlying businesses through Section 363 sale processes (Case No. 23-11873) and plan confirmation proceedings (Case No. 23-11869 – Trimont Energy (GIB)).
Mr. Ryals earned his Bachelor of Science in Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University, graduating cum laude.
