Peter Theis is a senior trial attorney with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, where he represents the Commission in civil rights litigation alleging unlawful employment practices. Prior to joining the Commission, Peter was a staff attorney with the Louisiana Fair Housing Action Center, a nonprofit civil rights organization dedicated to eradicating housing discrimination. Before coming to Louisiana, Peter worked as counsel for the Center for Appellate Litigation (a public defender organization based in New York), as a lecturer-in-law at Columbia Law School, and law clerk in the Staff Attorney’s Office of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
