Description
AI deepfakes and social-media evidence challenge lawyers to distinguish convincing digital content from reliable proof. This one-hour presentation examines digital authentication and evidentiary challenges under Louisiana law, with selected federal comparisons. Through visual examples and practical hypotheticals, participants will explore authorship, metadata, provenance, preservation, hearsay, expert reliability, and the distinction between substantive evidence and demonstrative aids. The session connects these issues to discovery, motions in limine, specific objections, and professional judgment when offering or challenging digital evidence.
